Our dynamic team at Denison is seeking a dynamic and pro-active Commercial Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth and success. Key Responsibilities include:
- Financial Modelling
- Conduct financial modelling to support strategic decision-making and optimise revenue streams.
- Work with the Head of Commercial to identify functionality requirements for the model such as scenario analysis and reporting of metrics into business performance and impact of proposed initiatives.
- Participate in the Company’s strategic planning process, with responsibility for modelling agreed scenarios.
- Commercial activities
- Provide support to the Head of Commercial in analysis and preparation of materials for commercial business development activities
- Investigate and scope agreed business development initiatives
- Provide support to the Head of Commercial in management of external third party relationships
- Contract Administration
- Develop familiarity with the Company’s commercial agreements including gas sales agreements, transport agreements, spot gas market, JVs etc.
- Monitor and manage activities under certain contracts including gas sales agreements, transportation agreements and certain service contracts.
Skills required:
- Proven experience in financial modeling, contract negotiation, and business analysis within the energy or related industry.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to generate actionable insights.Good communication and writing skills;
- Ability to run, maintain and improve an established corporate financial debt and equity model
- High level expertise with Microsoft office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of building successful partnerships.
- Strong quantitative background.
- Ability to work under broad direction, independently or as part of a team, on activities that may be self-initiated while meeting milestones and timelines.
Skills desired:
- A passion for learning with a positive attitude and ability to take initiative to achieve outcomes.
- Understanding of Australian East coast gas market
Qualifications required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
