Job Description
The Commercial Manager is responsible for management and oversight of RIA’s property and commercial portfolio including establishment of workflows and processes, allocation of work to team members, oversight of lease and concession agreement management, contributing to budget processes, managing property and commercial projects, lease compliance monitoring and asset lifecycle planning and management.
The position also manages 3 team members and supports the Director Contracts and Planning in the strategic management, planning, formulation and implementation of RIA’s goals and policy development.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following essential criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total. Desirable criteria will be assessed as required.
Essential
- Extensive experience in managing a portfolio of licences, leases and ancillary agreements in a commercial environment.
- Strong planning and organisational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure and achieve business outcomes.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills including experience in drafting documents for presentation to a Board or senior level managers.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills including influencing and negotiating skills.
- Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills including ability in interpreting and applying relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience managing people to deliver organisational outcomes including effective management of finance, physical and human resources.
- Applies and promotes the principles of equity, diversity and work health and safety in the workplace.
Desirable
- Behaviour that reflects Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
Note: The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current (issue date not older than 6 months) and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
