Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Manager / Senior Business Development Manager to lead their strategic growth initiatives. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The main duties are as follows:
- Develop and propose growth plans to target end user customer segments, products / solutions they offer vs competitors (Positioning / Pricing)
- Develop their Go to Market tactics (Channel / Marcom / Daily sales / Services / Execution)
- Handle commercial relationships with key accounts.
- Forecast budget requirements for short, medium and long term, in addition to analyzing and handling project financials.
Reporting to the Director ANZ, this newly created role will be tasked with developing and executing the strategy for Professional Tools which are tailored for electrical and industrial applications. You will be responsible for negotiating commercial agreements with their distributors, which include specialised tooling businesses, plus major distributors such as Blackwoods, Total Tools and Sydney Tools. In collaboration with the Director and Key Account teams, you will ensure the correct products are being offered in accordance with the local market's needs, and build specific account plans and pricing/rebate models to enhance profit and sales volume. All the while, you will take the lead on demand generation through strategic end user engagement to create push/pull selling conditions. Aside from electrical contractors, the key end user's may also fall within the following industries: Construction, Service, Plant & Facility Maintenance, Fire Protection, Utilities, Mining & Energy, Other Infrastructure
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience withnegotiating commercial terms within the Industrial Products sector (Tools & equipment will be advantageous)
- Experience develop and implement business plans, especially in a distribution sales model
- 5+ years B2Bexperience in Business Development or Sales, or perhaps in a Commercial Managerrole across other business areas
- Bachelors degreerequired
- Valid drivers licence
- Australian citizenor permanent resident
