We are currently seeking an experienced Commerical Manager to join our Management Team, reporting to the General Manager – Plywood. This full-time position will be based at our Plywood Manufacturing Facility located in picturesque Myrtleford.
The responsibilties of the positon include:
- Management and preparation of business budgets and forecasts
- Management of the site procurement and accounts payables function
- Month end reporting, including monthly analytical review of actual v budget
- Implement and oversee robust cost accounting. Work closely with production teams to analyse manufacturing costs, identify variances, and recommend cost improvements
- Pro-active in anticipating potential impacts and preparing for any system, process or regulartory changes
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits
- Establish solid, professional working relationships with all key personnel and maintain a positive working environment
- Assess and continually improve financial acumen of non-finance employees by the delivery of appropriate and continued training & support
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or related field
- Proven experience as a finance leader in manufacturing or similar environment
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting and management reporting
- Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and a strong work ethic
- Excellent anaytical and strategic thinking skills
- Proficiancy in microsoft applications
- Experience in leading commerical negotiations
- Strong business acumen
