As a Commercial Officer, you'll be at the forefront of providing expert advice across various business sectors, managing diverse contract types and projects. Your key focus will be on driving optimal commercial and contractual outcomes, minimizing risks, and supporting financial and operational performance.
This role will see you;
- Offer commercial guidance and support across a wide range of contracts and customer relationships in post-award activities
- Proactively identify and address potential contractual and commercial issues, driving strategies to maximize performance and minimize risk exposure for Powerlink.
- Work closely with Contract and Project Managers to evaluate and manage commercial risks, ensuring contract performance and positive contractor relationships.
- Independently manage supplier relationships, supporting Contract and Category Managers in Supplier Relationship Management and.
- Actively seek continuous improvement opportunities within the Contract Management Lifecycle, enhancing frameworks, processes, and tools for optimal performance and risk mitigation.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to team members to assist in up skilling and development
Ideally, you will hold a Degree in Business, Finance, Supply, Procurement or Contract Management coupled with significant experience in providing commercial and contractual admin support.
You will have;
- Proven capability to analyse and comprehend commercial terms within a wide range of contracts including construction, materials, professional services and ICT
- Demonstrated skill in engaging and coordinating input from essential stakeholders and regulatory experts to ensure timely and strategic contract outcomes.
- Substantial experience showcasing effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes
- Extensive experience utilizing Contract Management and Financial Systems, SAP experience is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to apply problem-solving techniques and analytical skills in diverse and complex situations
- Solid understanding of the end to end Procurement methodology with specific operational experience in contract administration activities
