ABOUT THE ROLE.
The Commercial Partnerships Manager is a key member of the Rugby WA executive team, playing a key role in the development and delivery of our organisational strategy and related business development objectives.
The role is responsible for achieving the strategic objectives related to procurement and management of all commercial and corporate partners, encompassing;
- Corporate & commercial partner acquisition, management and retention
- Creating meaningful business business and community connections
- Development and implementation of Rugby WA's philanthropy strategy
CORE DUTIES
- Support the CEO in the development of strategic planning related to commercial partner acquisition and business development
- Management and leadership of the commercial team in the development and delivery of related departmental operational plans
- Lead the procurement, engagement, commercial arrangements and delivery to all partners.
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting against related partnership agreements and operational plans.
- Provide leadership in the establishment and development Rugby WA’s philanthropy strategy (Rugby Foundation)
- Oversee Rugby WA’s broadcast program in conjunction with Rugby Australia.
- In conjunction with the CEO and Affiliated bodies, conduct appropriate strategic to operational planning for all events and how they link to partners and the strategic vision for Rugby WA.
- Manage all facets of financial reporting associated with specific commercial and partnership partnership budgets.
- The ability to take initiative and develop new ideas for partnership engagement and service delivery.
- Related projects and tasks as prescribed by the CEO
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 3 years-experience in a similar role
- Demonstrable success in the procurement of commercial partners, relationship management, acquisition and retention strategies.
- Development and delivery of related strategic and operational plans
- Ability to organise, multitask and prioritise
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- A Self-Starter with a proactive attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive, high performing team
- Flexible approach to work hours, including the ability to work weekends where required
- Current, or willingness to obtain, Working with Children clearance
- WA Drivers Licence
- Intermediate level of computer literacy (MS Office)
