About the Role
Due to our current work load, we are seeking to recruit an experienced hydraulic or Civil Site Manager to join our busy professional team. Based in Sydney, you will be the main point of contact on site for the assigned project. Your duties will include liaising, communicating and coordinating with principle contractors and other trades on site, managing and forecasting all labour and material required for the project, and ensuring all company HSEQ processes and procedures are being adhered to and followed.
In this role you will be working closely with the Project Manager, Estimators, Site Staff, Designers and Senior Management to deliver projects to the highest quality level, on time and within budget.
Essential criteria required for this role
- Licensed in plumbing, drainage and gas fitting.
- Minimum of 5 years commercial experience working with hydraulic / Civil
- Tier 1 commercial site management experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed negotiation, problem solving and time management skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
- Demonstrated ability and experience to provide leadership and management of a multi-disciplinary team in a commercial construction environment.
- Ability to maintain, control and coordinate on site procedures and activities.
- Diligent and consistent in implementing, maintaining and managing WHS and Q/A systems, legislation and regulations.
- Experienced in Cost Control, forecasting and Budgeting.
- Proficient computer skills and industry specific software.
- Understanding of purchasing and invoicing procedures.
- Understanding of the importance of reporting and documentation.
- Ability to identify, mitigate and solve potential problems that could arise.
- Work either independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to identify, quantify and manage variations to a sub contract.
