We are currently seeking a Commis Chef
The Metropole Hotel is located on Townsville’s bustling Palmer Street. Newly renovated, the hotel is a stylish yet relaxed venue with a rich history among locals. We blend dining, gaming and versatile event spaces all into one package. Our menu caters to a range of diverse tastes and celebrates pub classics and creative twists on traditional dishes.
Position Overview:
As a Commis Chef in our kitchen, you will play a vital role in supporting our Head Chef and Sous Chefs in the preparation and execution of our menu items. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic kitchen environment. This position requires the availability to work weekdays and nights, weekends, split shifts and public holidays across a 7-day roster.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Food preparation and presentation
- Ensuring expectations of service are consistently met.
- Catering for functions & events
- Ensuring menus, food standards, procedures and processes are followed.
