On behalf of the Australian Government, we are seeking applications for a Chief Commissioner (full-time) and two Commissioner (part-time) positions for Infrastructure Australia (IA).
Infrastructure Australia - Commissioners
IA is the Australian Government's independent and expert advisor on nationally significant infrastructure planning, policy and priorities. The Commissioners will collectively provide stewardship, strategic leadership, governance and oversight to IA, ensuring IA has the eminence, authority and standing to be a national leader and coordinator among infrastructure advisory bodies.
Applicants will need to demonstrate expertise or significant experience with major infrastructure project delivery, people management, working in or with the Government, and have relevant qualifications and functional skills .A substantial connection to, or experience in, a regional area will be highly regarded.
Applications are required to have subject matter expertise or demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:
- infrastructure planning and delivery
- construction
- infrastructure investment and/or economics
- land use, land acquisition and corridor planning
- environmental planning and approvals
- large scale project management
- innovation and change management
Commissioners will be appointed by the Government for up to five years. IA offices are located in Sydney but the Commissioners may be located nationally with the ability to travel to Sydney, Canberra and other locations as needed.
