AddressOverview: We are seeking skilled Commissioning Engineers to join our client's team in the Renewable Energy Sector. This position involves extensive travel, typically on an 11/3 roster, with approximately 6-8 weeks per project. The remaining time will be dedicated to remote work, preparing commissioning plans, ITC's, and other related tasks. If you have experience with relay setting files, HV testing, and SCADA systems, and possess strong problem-solving abilities, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement relay setting files, and conduct primary and secondary injection testing.
Work with main relay types such as ABB, SEL, and MiCOM.
Utilise experience with line differential protection schemes (highly advantageous).
Perform HV testing of primary plant, including ductor, insulation resistance, and VLF.
Interface with SCADA systems, including forcing points, adjusting scaling, and resolving communication issues.
Resolve issues between design and implementation through strong problem-solving abilities.
Prepare commissioning plans, ITC's, and other related documents during remote work periods.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Creating and implementing relay setting files, with proficiency in primary and secondary injection testing.
- Familiarity with main relay types: ABB, SEL, and MiCOM.
- Advantageous to have experience with line differential protection schemes.
- Proficiency in HV testing of primary plant, including ductor, insulation resistance, and VLF.
- Experience in interfacing with SCADA systems, including forcing points, adjusting scaling, and resolving communications issues.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to resolve issues between design and implementation.
- Willingness to travel for work, typically on an 11/3 roster.
- Transgrid experience is highly desirable, but any utility experience is favorable.
