About the RoleYou will be working closely with the existing team to help progress the development of Wind/PV/BESS projects. You will be conducting yield analysis and will use GIS to assist in the development of these projects. The software's used are WindPro, PVSyst and ArcGIS - you do not need to be proficient in all of these areas (as training will be provided), however you will need to be comfortable using at least one of these. Any additional experience using Python will also be valuable. This role will suit a motivated junior engineer who is looking to develop their career within Renewable Energy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct yield analysis of wind and solar farm projects using WindPro / PVSyst
- Operate software systems, including GIS, wind analysis, CFD, solar analysis and land cadastre
- Establish wind and solar measurement equipment through the use of contractors
- Manage the data associated with wind and solar measurement, ensuring its accuracy and availability for project studies
- Design project layouts and preliminary balance of plant designs
- Oversee third-party consultants to perform due diligence and bankable analysis
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable etc.) or a related field
- Experience with any of the following; GIS, Wind Analysis, Solar analysis, CFD, land cadastre
- Any knowledge of coding (Python) will be valuable
- Self starter who's motivated to develop within renewables
