Langford Support Services (Langford) is a not for profit, Tasmanian organisation providing a range of individual and flexible support options for people with a disability or mental illness within a supported living, community based, centre based or short-term accommodation environment and Therapeutic Care Support for children and young people.

About the Role:
Working within the Corporate Services Team, the Communications and Engagement Officer will focus on fostering and managing partnerships between participants, employees, and the greater Langford community to support high quality, safe supports and encourage the achievement of participant aspirations.
The Communication and Engagement Officer will manage activities to celebrate and raise awareness of the work Langford does, combat stereotypes, and prejudices and promote capabilities and contributions relating to people with disability.
The successful applicant will;
- Review and Manage the Feedback and Complaints Framework.
- Develop and implement a Participant Engagement Framework that increases the participant voice and participation both within and outside the organization.
- Develop participant friendly information that supports informed decision making.
- Develop and implement a Communication Framework to support participant and employee connection to, and partnership with, Langford.
- Develop and implement a Community Engagement Framework to promote Langford services, and support participant and employee wellbeing.
- Develop and implement an evidence-based tool to measure participant personal development and wellbeing based on the Langford Quality of Life Domains.
Safeguarding Requirements:
You will be required to provide and maintain the following safeguarding and employment screening checks throughout your employment:
- Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) Check with an NDIS endorsement
- National Police Check
- Current unrestricted Tasmanian drivers’ licence
- Completion of ‘Quality, Safety and You’ NDIS Orientation Module – upon appointment
