AddressFantastic opportunity for an experience communications professional to work for a QLD Gov't department based in Nerang.
Position will be responsible for providing strategic community and Stakeholder Management services to technical and professional staff for community engagement, media relations, issues management, public affairs and stakeholder relationship management. Site work attendance will be required from time to time for this role.
Initial 6 months temporary role with 2 x 12 month extension options.
To be considered, suitable candidates will meet the following requirements:
- A degree in communications, public relations or marketing or equivalent years work experience.
- Previous experience in dealing with difficult stakeholders and critical conversations.
- Experience in major infrastructure project environments and social media competency, will also be highly regarded.
- IAP2 or equivalent training in community engagement and public participation.
- Knowledge of the infrastructure planning lifecycle.
- Current holder of a Class C driver’s licence with own vehicle to attend various sites, Gov't offices and face to face meetings.
- Required to undergo employment screening (for example a criminal history check) as part of the selection process.
- Hold a Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card) or have ability to obtain within six months of starting.
