Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for three years.

Duties
  • Provide specialist advice, develop and implement key communications, Community Engagement, stakeholder management strategies and services, and other related activities to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders as they relate to the Tasmanian Green Hydrogen Hub (TGHH).
  • Design and deliver stakeholder engagement, Community Engagement and communications strategies for the TGHH.
  • Conduct high-level research and analysis and providing advice and input on the development of communication/media strategies, plans and campaigns for the TGHH.
  • Liaise with relevant industry and Government stakeholders on media queries that relate to the TGHH, and undertaking research and developing responses as required.
  • Prepare media releases, media articles, promotional material, publications, website content and other material as required for the TGHH including contracting external consultants and managing projects and media campaigns.
  • Work with consultants, other government agencies, external consultants, and with industry, to undertake market segmentation work, and to develop Community Engagement and education materials relating to the TGHH.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, ReCFIT to build the profile and support of the TGHH nationally, and support the Tasmanian Government in achieving its Renewable Energy Strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Bell Bay Advanced Manufacturing Zone (BBAMZ) to achieve successful engagement and communications outcomes for the TGHH.
  • Develop, implement, maintain and review appropriate systems and procedures that support the effective and efficient provision of communications, community and stakeholder engagement, and public relations activities for the TGHH.
  • The position may be assigned other duties as necessary by the Project Director, TGHH.
Desirable Requirements
  • Formal qualifications in communication, public relations, marketing, or related field, preferably with a ‘Certificate in Engagement’ from the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2).
  • Significant and demonstrated experience in planning and executing integrated communication (i.e., brand, internal and external communications, public/corporate affairs), media relations and stakeholder engagement.
