We're on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Community Engagement Officer to join our vibrant team. As a member of our Stakeholder and Engagement Team, the position assists to build a culture of engagement within Council and works with the broader community so they can participate and have confidence in Council's engagement processes. About you: Ability to multitask and work in a cross-team environment providing advice, assistance, recommendations and building capacity on Community Engagement. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels and to influence where appropriate. Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities along with the ability to recommend workable solutions and prioritise own workload. Highly organised, with the appropriate research and social planning skills to be able to meet deadlines under conflicting pressures while being committed to meeting customer expectations. Your qualifications: A Diploma qualification in Community Engagement, Community Planning, or a related field with a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience with running and facilitating Community Engagement projects from conception through to evaluation with a range of stakeholders. Position Hours: Fixed term until 1 April 2025. Full-Time, 75 hours fortnight. Salary range: $75,459.94 to $84,927.92 plus above award superannuation contribution.
