The Opportunity
The Outback Communities Authority (OCA) provides municipal services and community support to residents, associations, and townships across Outback SA, which is approximately 63% of the state. The OCA’s goals include improving liveability and sustaining our communities, growing the outback economy and advocating for the interests of outback people.
As the Communications & Content Lead with the Outback Communities Authority (OCA), you will drive the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative content across various platforms. From media releases to social media posts, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing stakeholder engagement and showcasing the unique stories of Outback SA. Additionally, you'll manage the OCA's communications strategy, build partnerships with key stakeholders, coordinate event communications, and oversee the publication of the Authority's newsletter.

You're a creative communicator with a passion for storytelling and skills in building partnerships and delivering customer-focused services. Your ability to craft impactful messages and navigate complex landscapes will ensure effective communication strategies are delivered. With a keen understanding of digital trends and audience preferences, you're ready to make Outback SA's story shine.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in driving communication strategies with innovation and insight. Your ability to work independently or collaboratively, coupled with your strong analytical skills, will ensure the success of our communication and engagement. You'll prioritise, plan, and coordinate activities while effectively managing risks and implementing change initiatives.

Requirements / Experience
Qualifications in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field will be well regarded.
Special Conditions
Prior to employment with the Department the successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.
- A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.
Remuneration
ASO6 - $97,022 to $102,626 per annum
