Leading Hands Afternoon Shift Roles Full Time or Temp to Perm

Skillforce Recruitment are currently seeking Leading Hands for our valued client. These positions have the flexibility of full time employment or temp to perm. Both roles are for an afternoon shift Attractive Salary .
Leading Hand Fettling
Core roles and responsibilities

• Ensure quality of work, product is cleaned in order to prevent rework and customer complaints
• Ensure all work is packed in a manner that ensures efficient, safe and effective load out and delivery of product
• Ensure all galvanised products have been cleaned by end of shift where practicable
• Work as a team to ensure that production and performance meets company KPI’s
• Moving of finished goods to scales using a forklift
• Co-operate with other divisions within the plant to ensure efficient workflow for cross-functional activities
• Responsible for administration tasks as communicated by foreman and supervisor

Essential

• Work with minimum supervision
• Read and understand technical plans and specifications
• Overhead Crane Experience
• High Risk Forklift Licence
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal as well as written form

Leading Hand Plates
Job tasks and responsibilities

Your key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Executes the entire Production process in a timely and efficient manner
• Forklift Driving
• Welding
• Executes daily production schedule
• Records production output, delays and quality documentation
• Proactive approach to housekeeping / hazard identification
• Ensures inventory accuracy
• Liaise with Production Supervisor on general production and staff issues.
• Participates in on and/or off the job training as directed

Essential

• Previous experience in a similar role, dealing in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit for manual tasks
• Ability to work unsupervised to achieve targets and follow procedures
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Forklift Diving ticket and experience in a high flow environment
• Basic computer skills
• Basic excel skills for data entry
• Willing to obtain overhead crane Licence RIIHAN305D at own cost (1 day course) prior to commencing

Desirable

• Experience in a similar role
• Basic Welding skills
• First Aid Certificate
