Communications and Engagement Manager
- 6 month contract with possible 6 month extension
- Brisbane CBD location
As the Communications and Engagement Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Communication Strategy for the WHS Refresh program of work, and BAU activities.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on the Department service delivery communication and Engagement program approach and progress.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships and networks with key stakeholders to promote the successful adoption of change within the Department.
- Collaborate with engage with a large volume of key stakeholders and relevant specialists to develop and facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness and communication strategy.
- Promote an uplift of communications capability by facilitating opportunities for learning and consideration of future skills required to deliver programs, enabling increased capability and agility across the Department.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Experience establishing a communications team and building capability across the business.
- Some knowledge and experience in the work, health and safety environment.
- Extensive experience supporting large programs of transformational work in a large and complex environment, through targeted and tailored communications strategies.
- Experience developing communication strategies across a diverse, complex and geographically dispersed workforce.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and executing change.
- Highly proficient in Communications methodologies.
- Communications qualifications or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Brisbane based, however travel across QLD will be required.
