About the role
We are seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of South Australia and be based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Market & Partner Engagement Domain.
The Integration Management Office (IMO) has established functional areas which are referred to as Domains. Each Domain is responsible for executing tasks and producing deliverables that are crucial to the establishment of the new Adelaide University.
As the Communications and Engagement Officer you will be responsible for drafting Communications and supporting engagement activities for Adelaide University's external communication initiatives. The position will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams from the University of South Australia (UniSA), the University of Adelaide (UoA), and relevant project teams within the Integration Management Office (IMO) to support the development and delivery of a cohesive external communication activities to raise awareness, drive engagement, and ensure strong connection with external stakeholders across all relevant communication channels of Adelaide University.
Core responsibilities
- Proactively contribute to the implementation of stakeholder communication and Engagement plans aligned to the Adelaide University strategy
- Curate, prepare, research, edit and proofread Communications and content for a diverse range of stakeholders that help to tell and evolve the Adelaide University story
- Provide expert advice, messaging and issues management to stakeholders across both universities and the Integration Management Office (IMO)
- Work with external suppliers (or relevant internal specialists) such as creative agencies, graphic designers, printers, photographers, video producers and web developers, to provide high-quality briefings and direction to ensure assets are delivered to a high standard and adhere to relevant brand and style guidelines
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality correspondence and reports, to include a high-level attention to detail and the ability to provide editing and presentation assistance on a broad range of documentation
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, confident presentation, approachability and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals
- Highly developed organisational and project management skills and experience managing multiple priorities and projects within tight timelines, particularly across digital, web, multimedia, and print formats.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team-based work environment
