What is the Role?
With the incumbent leaving to complete her degree overseas, we are looking for a dynamic writer, researcher and social media aficionado to join the team in support of the Communications Manager.
In this exciting Communications Assistant role you will use your administrative, organisational and social media skills to enhance the School’s various communications channels. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to developing, researching, creating and posting editorial, video and photography to social media channels, organising photography and collating content for brochures and the website, over-writing content for events and landing pages and monitoring and responding to the School's website and social media enquiries.
Who will the successful applicant be?
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and customer service skills who can build positive relationships
- Strong experience in brand-based content creation across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media platforms and their reporting tools
- Solid IT skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Highly organised with attention to detail and proven ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
- Experience liaising with students, including student leadership and teaching staff in order to develop timely, relevant content
- Recent office experience in a busy, professional environment
- Ideally a recent graduate of St Andrew’s Cathedral School (1-3 years) who is either studying or working in Communications and Marketing
