Primary Purpose of Role:
- Participate in the planning, coordination and implementation of a communications, marketing and media strategy that positively impacts on staff, government stakeholders and the public's perceptions of the CFS.
- Ensure the provision of a media liaison service and participate in an after-hours on-call media liaison roster.
- In conjunction with senior staff and managers, develop corporate branding activities and publications that comply with whole of government protocols.
- Establishment and publication of sector-wide protocols for communication that underpin and reinforce the CFS' image and branding throughout South Australia and which support corporate strategic and business plans.
- Provide high-level advice to all CFS staff, including the Executive team, on media related issues, social media content and communication materials and mediums suitable to meet their communication requirements, prepare, and edit content as required.
- Manage and develop internal staff and volunteer communication materials
- Manage the risks associated with reactive media; analyse the effectiveness of media liaison strategies using media monitoring tools and make recommendations for improvement as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field.
