About the Role
Step into the role of Communications and Engagement Specialist within Student and Scholarly Services (SASS), where you'll drive content projects and campaigns to support strategic student initiatives such as student advising, mentoring, and co-curricular programs, with a focus on understanding student journeys and advocating for effective communication.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll collaborate with various stakeholder groups across SASS to achieve outstanding results for both the institution and its students. With your exceptional organisational, project management, and stakeholder management skills, you'll ensure that content projects and campaigns align seamlessly across channels. Responsible for curating promotional content across multiple platforms, you'll shape our narrative and foster meaningful engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the planning, development, and implementation of student-centric information projects and communication plans to support strategic initiatives such as student advising, mentoring, and co-curricular programs within Student and Scholarly Services
Building and nurturing collaborative relationships with portfolio stakeholders, ensuring a positive rapport.
Translating business goals and success metrics into student-centered communication outcomes
Utilising student feedback, customer journey mapping, and data analysis to craft targeted, engaging, timely, and relevant student content and communication plans.

You will also have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training combination.
Proven exceptional communication skills, adept at engaging diverse student, stakeholder, and client groups, internally and externally.
Excellent ability to work across and within teams and apply collaborative methodologies.
Results-oriented with adaptive reasoning, sound judgment, and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in identifying trends, escalating issues as needed, and ensuring exceptional program/service delivery.

Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.
The Student Information team is a core cross-functional team within SASS responsible for designing and delivering integrated and tailored communications to applicants and more than 65,000 current students. The team comprises web specialists, designers, content writers, and CRM specialists to deliver student-centered communications that assist students to complete critical admin, engage in enrichment services, seek support, and thrive in their studies.
