Moving millions of people needs the skill and commitment of a talented workforce.The RoleAn exciting opportunity is available in the role of Communications Engineer within Network & Infrastructure (N&I) division. This role assists with the development, modification and monitoring of the communications infrastructure including preparing, checking and reviewing designs. Additionally, the role will assist in ensuring safe, reliable, cost effective, quality communication systems and services.Who we are looking for.The successful candidate will have:Possession of an appropriate Engineering Degree that would satisfy the admission requirement for corporate membership to the Institution of Engineers Australia.Demonstrated recent experience in the design and commissioning of communications circuits, field communications and their associated installation and testing.Demonstrated recent experience in fault finding on communications and associated field equipment, including relevant experience in project and contract management.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, including with field staff, and on occasion with minimal supervision.Very good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months which permanent appointment will be made.
