In this role you will develop and implement the organisation's communication strategy and have significant contact with the community and media.In this role, you'll:
- Develop and implement communication strategies for our new power developments - with a focus on meeting the communication needs of local communities and media.
- Report to the Communications team, and act as a business partner for the Power Generation and Development team.
- Work closely with the Communications team to ensure there's visibility of the Power Generation and Development team's news internally.
- Work closely with the Head of Community Engagement and Government Relations teams, to ensure stakeholders receive consistent and clear messages.
- Substantial industry experience, ideally from the energy and/or infrastructure major project development and/or construction.
- Experience dealing with energy industry media, and strong relationships and contacts.
- Proven extensive external/internal corporate communications experience within a fast-moving business.
- Ability to work autonomously and have a confident entrepreneurially mindset with excellent writing skills.
- Demonstrate experience in project planning and implementation.
- Up to date knowledge of communications methods and fosters open communication to engage stakeholders proactively.
