Reporting to the Marketing & Events Manager this role provides the opportunity to work within the marketing and events team at Dogs Victoria.
You will be responsible for generating and distributing all communications to the Dogs Victoria membership and wider community in the form of a monthly member magazine, newsletters, website, social media management and marketing campaigns and materials for a variety of internal and external events that are held across the year.
This role will have an event focus, giving you the opportunity to assist in planning events and attending major exhibitions including the prestigious Melbourne Royal Show.
About You:
- High attention to detail to proofread all content to ensure spelling, grammar, formatting is all correct.
- Advanced skills in ‘In Design’ program used to create 20-page monthly member magazine & other marketing materials.
- Advanced skills and experience in administration and computer literacy across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Forms), Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Mailchimp.
- Capable to manage social media platforms primarily Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels.
- Excellent communication skills to build and maintain ongoing relationships with advertisers and sponsors.
- Ability to learn about a dynamic, member-based organisation and familiarise yourself with the required rules, regulations and polices (by which the organisation is governed)
- Willing to be hands on to support with event design, set up and pack down.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creation and delivery of social media campaigns and scheduling posts across various social platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Youtube channel.
- Manage and update Dogs Victoria website content for advertising, public event promotion, venue information, rules & regulation updates, breeder listings, resource articles plus more
- Manage and produce the content for the monthly magazine (print and electronic), consisting of advertising components and articles. Advanced level of InDesign program knowledge required.
- Coordinate advertising bookings across various mediums including our magazine, website and newsletter.
- Work with the Marketing & Events Manger to manage the day to day relationships with major sponsors and provide support in creating new sponsorship relationships.
- Design and update of forms, fact sheets, signage and other informative materials for digital campaigns and physical signage to be displayed at Dogs Victoria venues.
- Event promotion, marketing planning, creating of marketing material and flyers, event set up and pack down and working on event days as required. (weekend availability across four weekends a year approx.)

Dogs Victoria, together with our members deliver over 1000 events across Victoria offering many member services to support the industry.
