Role Context
We are a regulatory body focused on ensuring quality learning outcomes across various educational and training sectors in Victoria. Our responsibilities include:
- Registering school education providers and senior secondary education providers.
- Overseeing school boarding premises and home schooling.
- Accrediting organisations to award senior secondary qualifications.
- Regulating vocational education and training (VET) providers.
- Appointing review bodies and regulating apprenticeships and traineeships.
- Monitoring group training organisations.
- Accrediting courses and maintaining a register of education and training organisations.
- Protecting the interests of students as consumers of education and training services.
Role Purpose
You will support a small communications team. Your role will involve contributing to strategic communications activities, stakeholder engagement, and the successful implementation of regulatory reforms. You will assist in planning, curating, and developing content for various channels.
Key Accountabilities and Activities
Internal Communications
- Develop internal communication strategies.
- Support business or project areas in executing internal communications.
- Work with senior officers to enhance culture and improve internal communication practices.
External Communications and Branding
- Ensure consistency and integrity across all communications and marketing materials.
- Assist in developing external communication strategies.
- Create communications that highlight initiatives and priorities, reflecting audience interests.
Digital Communications
- Curate, develop, and review website content to ensure it is current and accurate.
- Coordinate and oversee e-newsletter production, including editing, sourcing content, and design/layout.
- Manage and maintain the image library, selecting appropriate visuals.
- Contribute to planning activities for digital channels.
