A great opportunity for an experienced Communications officer to join this busy team for a long term 12-month temporary assignment.The APS5 Strategic Communications Officer is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation. The APS6 position is a team lead position.The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with designing, developing, implementing and evaluating content, communication strategies and products.
- Providing specialist advice and interpretation of communication processes, guidelines and policies.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, scoping needs, resolving issues and achieving positive outcomes.
- Assisting with scheduling, coordination and publishing communication content. • Undertaking a wide variety of general tasks as required, including managing inbox enquiries, preparing reports on communication activities, and providing content for internal stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to multitask and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience in communications strategy/ plan development
- Good networking skills
ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
12-month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension
Full time hours Monday to Friday
Geelong + hybrid working from home options.
