About the role Join the WA Cricket team as we seek an exceptional individual to take on the exciting new position of Communications & Marketing Specialist. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing the WA Cricket and Perth Scorchers brand, through the crafting and executing impactful communication and marketing strategies. Reporting directly to the Communications Manager, you will be instrumental in telling the stories that make cricket truly a sport for all. You will be instrumental in elevating awareness, boosting conversions, expanding coverage, and creating compelling content to find new audiences and retain our current ones. You willWork in collaboration with others to deliver media and digital campaigns, and communication and marketing plans that will showcase what WA Cricket delivers on and off the fieldLead the development, execution and assessment of communications strategies and coverage for Community Cricket and the WA Cricket Foundation programsIdentify and cover inspiring Community Cricket and Perth Scorchers stories that align with the WA Cricket Foundation, with a focus on Aboriginal cricket, females, and cricketers with a disabilityAct in a Service Level Agreement role in conjunction with Cricket Australia to facilitate media liaison, communications strategies and coverage for international matches in PerthHave editorial oversight of key stakeholder newsletters including but not limited to Members, Foundation Donors, and Community Cricket eNewsLead the development, implementation and reporting of marketing campaigns focused on Community Cricket and WA Cricket Foundation programs, including paid social media advertising, organic social media, trade marketing materials, eDMs and other media types as relevant to the individual campaign.Represent WA Cricket's needs and interests in national participation working groups and regularly communicate information and outcomes of the working groups with relevant internal stakeholdersRepresent WA Cricket and Perth Scorchers at nominated games, events and functions upon reasonable requestEnsure execution of and adherence to commercial/branding/partnership obligations in all media, marketing, and communications activitiesWho we are looking forDegree qualification in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or another relevant fieldExperience in communications or other relevant field with a proven ability to work to deadlines and contributing to a team environmentStrong writing skillsStrong organisational and time management abilities and strategiesAbility to form strong relationships across the organisation at all levelsHighly developed Microsoft Office computer knowledge and skillsExperience with content management systems and proficiency in Photoshop, video production and editing (desirable)Experience using Content Management Systems, specifically Sitecore (desirable)Experience with photography and filming (desirable)The perks!
