Our multi-disciplinary team acts as an in-house “agency” – deploying high-quality comms capabilities at the forefront of strategic advisory and integrated execution services.
How you will create an impact
The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Marketing & Communications, Australia in internal and external communications planning and execution for Australia, and ensure consistent messaging, branding and alignment of communications activities.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications in Australia, this is a hands-on role that will focus on internal and external communications planning and execution for Australia, and ensure consistent messaging, branding and alignment of marketing communications activities.
Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:
Effectively manage the communications plan for AIG Australia, including:
leadership messaging
internal communications
business announcements
media relations
issues and crisis management communications,
social media
Manage local website, content strategy and product positioning, ensuring a positive user experience and effective monitoring tools are in place.
Support the Head of Marketing & Communications in the development of narrative/key messages that best position AIG with key stakeholders
What you’ll need to succeed
Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications or a related discipline.
Proven experience internal and external communications, and brand management.
Excellent business writing skills, including drafting, editing and proof reading, coupled with a passion for storytelling and creative communications
Strong planning skills with a demonstrated understanding of the need to align locally, regionally, and globally
Superior emotional intelligence and excellent judgement.
Ability to establish strong business relationships with internal partners across the business and with regional team members in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage media relations and crisis management.
Solid understanding of brand and reputational management
Excellent project and people management skills.
Self-starter with the ability to prioritise and synthesise data.
Strong collaborator with solid negotiation and stakeholder management skills
