About the role:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Community and Engagement Officer to join the team.
This role will work closely with a range of external parties from local communities, forest users right through to government bodies, sharing information and building mutually beneficial partnerships.
Your excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with your community engagement expertise will be essential in managing relationships, conveying complex ideas with clarity and precision and responding to stakeholders on forestry matters.

We would love you to have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in Community and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across a large geographic area
- Political-awareness, diplomacy, and the ability to manage potentially sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing skills and the ability to distil and communicate scientific and technical information
- Sound interpersonal skills, including conflict-resolution skills and experience.
