About the opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Community Development Facilitator to join Connected Communities business unit. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead impactful initiatives, foster community connections, and contribute to positive change within Cardinia.
You will make an impact by
- Planning, facilitating, and delivering effective community consultations.
- Reviewing and summarising key findings from consultations Coordinating and executing various activations to enhance community connections.
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with local community groups and organisations.
- Supporting and organizing community events and functions.
- Assisting with media releases and communications to promote Council information.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualifications and experience in a comparable environment
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a knack for building rapport and relationships.
- Experience in stakeholder and community consultation.
- Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and report writing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on experience and good judgment.
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and relevant acts and regulations.
- Effective interpersonal skills with a diplomatic and confidential approach to handling enquiries and concerns.
