Community Development Officer

A great Community Development Officer has natural solution focused mentality and is an active listener, keeping in touch with the community through ongoing building of a strong network.

You will uphold high ethical standards, building trust within the community and acting with integrity and transparency.  

With qualifications in the Community Development field, an understanding of Community Development principles and strategies you will have strong networking skills and the ability to connect the local communities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Community Development Officer role will see you actively encouraging community participation and support community members to develop and implement community plans.

You will strengthen the Moira community through the establishment of sustainable activities and ongoing identification of potential growth and development opportunities across a range of sectors such as small business, arts, tourism, sport, multimedia, agriculture, health and education.

You will provide direct support, information and guidance to community members, stakeholders, external service providers and other strategic partners regarding planning, development and implementation of strategic plans.
