About the role
We are pleased to share with you this opportunity to work as Community Development Officer – Volunteering on a part-time temporary basis. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to develop and deliver the City’s volunteer program alongside a dedicated team.
In this role, you will undertake duties such as:
- Recruiting and providing support to the City’s Volunteers
- Informing interested parties in community-based volunteering opportunities
- Provide capacity-building support to volunteer led associations
- You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, developing excellent relationships to further the volunteering programs and objectives
What we’re looking for:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- You’ll be able to quickly and naturally build rapport with community organisations and team members to deliver on the objectives of the role
- You’ll have experience in supervising, coordinating and recruiting volunteers and associated administration of those activities
Position Benefits

- 2.5 days per week for 12 months (potential to work additional days/hours to cover leave)

- $80,639.42 - $87,882.17 per annum pro rata + super
