The City of Nedlands is looking for a dynamic and passionate Community Development Officer Seniors to strengthen the City’s Positive Aging activities through encouraging innovation, diversity, and inclusion to align with the Strategic Community Plan as part of our Community Development Team.

About the role
As Community Development Officer Seniors you will be at the heart of our mission to make Nedlands an even more exciting and inclusive place to live.
As our Community Development Officer Seniors you will:
- Play a key role in the design, planning, and execution of a Positive Ageing Program across various City locations including our Libraries, Tresillian Arts Centre, and other City managed services or facilities.
- Coordinate with external speakers, instructors, and experts to provide engaging and informative sessions that cater to seniors across City locations.
- Facilitate increased awareness of the Positive Ageing Program and its associated events, encouraging participation and fostering a sense of community among older adults.
About the successful candidate
To be considered for the role, candidates should have degree level qualifications in Community Development, Social Science, Recreation or related field and previous experience in delivering community programs.
Candidates will also have the following;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to high level customer and community service;
- The ability to self-manage a varied workload to meet deadlines; and
- Knowledge of statutory requirements in relation to access & inclusion.
Experience using Sharepoint and/or Technology One is considered advantageous.
What we offer
This is a permanent, full-time position and offers a salary range of $79,105 to $92,020 per annum dependent on skills and experience plus superannuation.
