The FaPMI CYP worker will contribute to the provision of a whole of family approach to service delivery, work closely with Case Managers and FaPMI Coordinators. Partner with relevant service providers in the delivery of peer support groups to children and young people up to the age of 25 who have a parent experiencing mental illness/mental health challenges.CYP worker will engage directly with children and young people in caring and support roles, assist in strengthening formal and informal support networks within their family context, where gaps identified. Provide practical support, information and opportunities for connection with peers in similar circumstances, including referrals and/ involvement with appropriate peer support programs.This position is based at Saltwater Community Mental Health Clinic, Footscray, and will work across Mercy Mental Health & Wellbeing Services located in Wyndham & Hobsons Bay.Hours of work during business hours, 4 days per week. Flexible work option available for successful candidate.ABOUT YOU:
- Education : Cert IV in Community Development or equivalent
- A current unrestricted Victorian Driver’s License and ability to drive a work vehicle
- Satisfactory National Police Record Check
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check
- Ability to speak a second language relevant to the local community
- At least 6 months relevant employment within a similar role within the last 18 months
