A part-time (3 days per week) position in the Research and Education Team focused on education is available at Supreme Court Library Queensland (SCLQ). The role is temporary until 4 October 2024, with the possibility of extension.

The Community Education Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of the library’s Community Education activities including the schools program. The position works with the Programs Manager (Community Engagement and Education) and other Research and Education team members to develop and deliver a range of educational initiatives delivered onsite, offsite and online.

- Assist in designing and implementing creative and relevant educational strategies to attract and engage visitors to explore SCLQ’s legal collections, exhibitions, public programs and educational activities
- Write and edit engaging and effective print and digital content
- Coordinate administrative and operational activities of the library’s education program, including managing and processing bookings, liaising with contractors and suppliers and maintaining documents, registers, analysing statistics and producing reports
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with internal and external clients and key stakeholders, including students, teachers, members of the legal profession, general public and other library users
- With direction, supervise other Research and Education team members involved in delivering the library’s Community Education activities, and plan weekly rosters
- Work with the library’s Events and Facilities Coordinator to ensure facilities and venues are appropriately set up and maintained
- Liaise and maintain effective relationships with Queensland Courts staff to facilitate and support access to the QEII Courts of Law building and other courts for education activities
Remuneration is competitive: starting at $90,399 annual full-time salary (paid on a pro rata basis for part-time) depending on skills and experience (plus leave loading and superannuation). Working conditions are flexible and family friendly.
