About Us:

The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate entity created by the Aboriginal Land Right (Northern Territory) Act, with an elected 90-member Aboriginal Council. We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Community Engagement Coordinatorto join the Council and play a vital role in strengthening CLC's monitoring of social performance and engagement with resource companies.

Your Next Adventure:

As our next Community Engagement Coordinator, you will have the exciting opportunity to support and advocate for traditional owners through monitoring the outcomes of minerals and energy agreements in the CLC region.

By representing and advocating for the interests of traditional owners, you'll uphold the mandates of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act and the Native Title Act, fostering sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships while acting as a bridge between parties.

You will also be responsible for coordinating the CLC's governance role and implementation of the Tanami Desert Ten Year Plan: a voluntary commitment between traditional land owner, affected communities and resource company.

You’ll also have the opportunity to attend remote meetings out in community, allowing you to explore parts of Australia that most will never get to experience!
