The reason for this role:
The Community Engagement Manger will provide Community Engagement and stakeholder management services in relation to Goldwind projects. The role will support the Project Team and Goldwind management on matters relating to Community and Stakeholder Engagement.
What you will be doing?
- Support the wider Goldwind team in the design and implementation of community and stakeholder engagement requirements across a portfolio of wind and solar projects.
- To competently and positively represent Goldwind to local communities, project neighbours and stakeholders, through written, phone and in-person communications.
- Assist in the preparation, production and release of public information, including newsletters, construction updates, presentation materials, media releases, website updates, and other relevant briefing materials as required.
- Identify additional or new communication channels and material to assist in effective Community Engagement.
- Ensure best practice.
- Travel to project sites will be required.
What does your background look like?
- Experience of designing and implementing Community Engagement strategies.
- Experience of liaising with local communities and a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of effective Community Engagement principles and techniques for rural communities.
- Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities involved in delivering wind and solar projects.
- Experience at dealing with government stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach to community relations. Competent computer use, including use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
