Even if you only meet some of the criteria, we'd love to hear from you.About the opportunityWorking together in Greater Shepparton - Strathbogie - Moira, Wellways, APMHA Healthcare and GV Health will provide a range of support and therapies specific to what the community needs, whenever and wherever they are needed. Lived experience, inclusivity and partnership will underpin all our work. About your new roleThis is a rewarding opportunity to work with and amongst our community to empower and support one another in achieving and maintaining social and emotional wellbeing.This role will see you establishing and nurturing community relationships and referral pathways with a broad range of health, social and community groups and services that people may need to support their recovery.You will be playing a pivotal role in supporting our community to better identify and respond to psychological distress; in ensuring that our community and its needs remain at the heart of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local service; and promoting improved social and emotional wellbeing for everyone. You will also need:Certificate IV in a social science100 points of identificationEvidence of right to work in AustraliaNational Police CheckCurrent Working with Children Check-employmentNDIS Worker Screening checkNDIS Workers Orientation module certificate - free online course Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals are free, voluntary, and easy to access, with no referral required. Importantly, these new services will be delivered on the basis of 'how can we help? and a 'no wrong door' approach, focused on giving choice and control over how the consumer wants to receive support.This new service will make it easier for the consumer to access the support they need, closer to home and family, carers, and support networks.Most importantly, Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals are safe spaces for everyone.
