Your New Role
The Community Fundraising and Events Manager position, report to the Executive Director, Commercial Enterprise, Fundraising and Communications. This highly rewarding role will see you lead a team of two, on our high-performing and diversified community fundraising events and campaigns, along with running the NSW Society CEO Sleep-out and develop the NSW community fundraising strategy.
You will be accountable for:
- Ensure the successful implementation of the Strategic Plan within the team.
- Research, develop and implement innovative community fundraising events and campaigns.
- Lead the strategic development of the events and community fundraising portfolio to ensure continued growth and fundraising potential.
- Deliver the NSW Society’s CEO Sleepout flagship fundraising event for the Organisation.
- Develop and execute detailed relationship management processes for events and community fundraising campaigns to increase reoccurrence and revenue.
- Ensure a safe working environment for members, staff and volunteers by implementing the Society’s workplace health and safety practices.
- Ensure that staff and volunteers complete relevant pre-engagement checks (National Criminal History check, and where required Working With Children Check); act in accordance with the organisation’s Code of Conduct and Member and Volunteer Charter; and comply with the organisation’s Workplace Health and Safety program.
- Ensure that effective risk management protocols and procedures are in place to ensure compliance with legal, employment and governance requirements.
To be successful, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s in business, marketing or related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability and expertise in delivering high-performing and diversified community fundraising events and campaigns in large organisations with multiple offices in metropolitan, regional and remote locations.
- Demonstrated ability and expertise in project leadership to oversee effective implementation of initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- NSW driver licence.
