Game Plus/ Film Plus is a non-profit collaborative workspace for Game Developers. We provide a hub and national network for digital entrepreneurs to co-locate, share resources, knowledge and opportunities.
We are looking for an experienced Community Manager to join Australia’s largest non-profit co-working space for game developers, Game Plus and Film Plus. If you are a tech-savvy professional, experienced in event management, understand the Game Development pipeline and Creative Industry within Australia; we would like to meet you.
Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to work effectively within a team setting. You should have client-facing experience with proficient customer and client service skills with the ability to manage online and physical moderation of the Game Plus/Film Plus community.
Furthermore, we are looking for someone who understands and supports our industry led initiative, represents the Game Plus/Film Plus brand and vision, and is interesting in connecting and supporting people to grow a thriving, collaborative game development industry.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Game Plus/Film Plus members and be the first point of contact for the member community.
- Manage, organise and participate in internal and external community based events to boost brand awareness.
- Build relationships with members, clients and industry professionals to promote community engagement.
- Manage internal operations including but not limited to WH&S, procurement and facilities.
- Work with local and interstate teams to deliver projects and cross-promotional activities.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient event/community management.
- Hands on experience with social media management.
- Experience hosting and launching community initiatives to boost community engagement.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Experience working with interstate and local teams.

- This role is part-time (3 days per week) and offers flexible working hours.
- Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
