Job description

Ignite your entrepreneurial spirit with Regional Business HQ! As one of Australia’s most enduring business incubators, it stands as a beacon of innovation and support for regional enterprises. Offering a powerhouse of services, education, and resources, it fuels regional economic vitality, job creation, and robust business communities.

Since January 2019, The Generator in Bundaberg has emerged as a vibrant coworking space and innovation hub, perched above the historic Bundaberg Post Office. It’s a place where ideas soar and collaboration is the daily buzz. Here, a dynamic community of forward-thinkers and visionaries converge, making it their regular launchpad for success.

Join the movement where regional business thrives and connections are made. The Generator isn’t just a space; it’s where the future of business takes flight!

Our community at the Generator includes a variety of individuals including:

  • Those looking for a refreshing change from their home office.
  • Travelling professionals in search of a reliable ‘home base’ during their stay in town.
  • Entrepreneurs who like the company of like-minded people but also value the autonomy of their own workspace.
  • Business owners seeking time away from the distractions at their usual premises.
  • Enthusiastic people who simply love the atmosphere at The Generator!

Due to growth within the Regional Business HQ team, we are now searching for our next superstar Community Manager to elevate the Bundaberg Generator to the next phase of growth and expansion.

  • Being able to see connections between people before they can and doing everything in your power to ensure those connections happen
  • Organising and running events from start to finish no matter how small or large the event
  • Being in the spotlight, being that familiar face at events and meetings both internally and externally and being known for talking up and sharing your opinions
  • Creating innovative and new way of marketing products and services across multiple platforms

What will you be doing?

If you are our next Community Manager your days will be spent:

  • Being the go-to person for all enquiries for the Generator from prospective clients, stakeholders and existing members
  • Signing up new members and ensuring their onboarding process is seamless
  • Ensuring the facilities at the Generator are kept in excellent condition so our members and guests have an enjoyable experience each and every visit
  • Making connections between local members, entrepreneurs and start-up businesses to facilitate growth of local programs, businesses and events
  • Organising and facilitating events for a broad range of stakeholders, including existing members and startups
  • Being the face and voice of the Generator in the advancement of Bundaberg's startup ecosystem
  • Thriving on the challenge of implementing innovative marketing strategies to promote the Generator through various social media channels and the RBHQ website
  • Ensuring that you spend a minimum of 22.8 hours per week at the Generator spread across the hours-of-service delivery (Monday to Friday - 8.00 to 6.00pm)
