About the Role:
As a Child and Maternal Health Nurse you will be contributing to the implementation of a new home visiting program specifically designed for pregnant women of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering essential support from pregnancy until the child's second birthday through home visits and collaborative care initiatives.
Package:

• Salary: $120,000 per annum + 11% superannuation
• Fully furnished house provided.
• Salary Sacrifice up to $15,900 p.a
• 6 weeks’ annual leave with 17.5% leave loading

You will be living in a town of 6,456 population within the Pilbara. This wonderful AMS has a long-term strategy to transform the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal women and children living in this stunning part of WA. Seeking a Nurse with a sense of adventure and deep respect for Aboriginal peoples and their cultures to provide on-the-ground leadership of this project.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct home visits and provide comprehensive support
• Collaborate with a diverse multidisciplinary team to ensure culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with individuals from First Nations communities residing in regional and remote areas
• Implement innovative solutions to address complex challenges in an ever-changing work environment
• Uphold professional integrity and confidentiality while fostering a culturally safe environment

Requirements:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with at least 3 years' clinical experience
• Demonstrated ability to empathise and communicate effectively with Indigenous communities
• Experience in delivering culturally appropriate support to pregnant Aboriginal women and young children
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework
• Current or willingness to obtain immunisations training/certificate
