We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional care to the elderly within our community. As a Community Registered Nurse in Aged Care, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering comprehensive nursing services in their homes.
This position will work 37.5 hours per fortnight, with some flexibility on days and times but the successful applicant needs to be available from at least 8am and have the flexibility to work afternoons

About the role:
Reporting to the Community and Home Care Manager this position is responsible for delivering quality clinical care to our clients in the community that meets their individual needs as outlined in their care plans and in a sensitive and dignified manner
Your skills, training and experience checklist:
- Experience in a Registered Nurse position with current AHPRA registration
- Previous practical experience undertaking client assessments and developing care plans in a community setting
- Broad range of clinical skills appropriate to dynamic and varied client requirements
- Ability to meet competing priorities
- Excellent Communication skills both Verbal and written
- National Police Clearance, less than 6 months old
- Evidence of COVID and Flu Vaccinations
- Current Drivers License and reliable registered vehicle
Key Accountabilities of the Role:
- Lead the development and delivery of care plans that encourages and facilitates independence and purposeful living
- Undertake assessments and reassessments of clients’ clinical needs ensuring all changes are responded to in an appropriate manner and coordinate the involvement of other members of the multi-disciplinary team if necessary
- Deliver training and assessment of care staff against one-off and annual competencies, to ensure staff act within their scope of competence while providing a high standard of care to clients.
- Encourage clients to utilise their right to consumer directed care, and advocate for their needs as required, ensuring a strong customer service focus at all times.
- Ensure records are completed in required format, timeframes and that advice is sought when required
- Support and assist the Community and Home Care Manager in the daily management responsibilities of the service as required
- Monitor and document clinical stock levels, communicating ordering requirements in a timely manner to ensure appropriate stock is available as needed.
