Our Communities for Children (CfC) Cranbourne team is seeking a positive and thorough Communities Project Assistant who enjoys a varied workload, supporting the needs of CfC Cranbourne and supporting its Community Partners.

The Communities ProjectsAssistant will be working in a small but very supportive team and will provide you with the opportunity to offer enthusiastic and responsive administrative assistance to networks and effective relationships and connections within the team and wider community. This 

is a fixed term role, Part Time – (15.2 hours per week) until 30 June 2026 and is a truly rewarding opportunity. Flexible hours, you can choose to spread your time over 2 or 3 days, the only requirement is a full day on Tuesdays spent in the office with the team.

  • Communities for Children (CfC) Cranbourne works with organisations to support children 0 – 12 years and their families across wider Cranbourne, Clyde and Clyde North  
  • CfC Cranbourne collaborates with organisations to support children and their families to thrive, feel connected and to reach their goals.
  • CfC Cranbourne builds on local strengths and priorities to meet community needs.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate or Diploma in a) Community Development, Community Services or Welfare and Wellbeing or b) Project Administration but with a keen interest in community services areas or relevant job experience.
  • Attention to detail, with the willingness to understand the strategic plan of CfC Cranbourne.
  • Confident meeting new people and following instructions to provide support at stakeholder meetings events and for Community Partners.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with both colleagues and partners, consumers and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated time management skills in a busy environment.
  • Good computer literacy including knowledge of Excel, general data management and basic analytics skills.
  • Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible.
  • Willingness to undertake pre-employment screening - Working with Children, Police check and medical assessment.
  • Willingness to setup your own myGovID (if you haven’t already) and use your myGovID to link/log in to the Department of Social Services portal.
  • Current Victorian Drivers’ Licence.
  • Right to Work in Australia e.g. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
