About Us:
The Strathbogie Shire is a vibrant and progressive rural municipality located about two hours from the Melbourne CBD along the Hume Highway. We have diverse and picturesque communities served by townships such as Euroa, Nagambie, Violet Town, Avenel, Longwood, Ruffy and Strathbogie.
About the Role:
A flood event occurred across Strathbogie Shire in October 2022 and resulted in widespread and catastrophic damage to dwellings, community infrastructure, roads and drains, trees and vegetation, power, telecommunications and water supplies. This role will coordinate the planning and delivery of recovery activities and the implementation of the Strathbogie Recovery Plan.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- The ability to develop work plans for the Recovery Support Team.
- The ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the community, and associated government departments, agencies, and external service providers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to at times, work outside normal working hours and across the municipality more broadly.
