Role Overview
As a Community Registered you will be responsible for supporting people living in their home following person-centered care and applying best clinical practice. You will be part of a dedicated team and support staff with clinical advice and provide a range of clinical assistance to clients, including but not limited to, health assessments, simple and complex wound care, palliative care, simple and complex medication administration, and chronic disease management. The Registered Nurse team members are supported by and report to the Program Manager Clinical Services.

- This is a permanent part time role working 3 days per week.
- Location -Southern & Metro Region (Darlington)
About the Person
The optimal candidate will display proficiency and confidence in clinical care, coupled with a genuine sense of empathy and understanding towards our Residents. Additionally, they should be dedicated to collaborating seamlessly within a larger team committed to delivering a high standard of person-centered care.
To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
- Current registration as a General Nurse with the AHPRA
- Previous nursing experience working in a Community Aged Care setting, would be highly desirable
- Highly developed skills in client nursing and personal care
- Possess a basic understanding of the role and functions of the Commonwealth Department responsible for Aged Care and relevant legislation
- Working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act and regulations and their application in the workplace
- Ability to work autonomously and recognise times when matters require escalating.
- Hold a valid National Police Check or be willing to obtain one
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Current Driver's License
- Fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and influenza
