The Role:
McArthur are seeking experienced Community Services Support Workers to join our casual staffing team, who provide ad hoc overflow shift coverage to leading Government and Not-For-Profit services throughout Victoria.
Our team support a wide range of specialised sectors including Youth Work, Housing and Homelessness, Family Violence, Alcohol and other Drugs, Mental Health, and Forensic Psychology.
The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Providing supportive residential services to individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness, contributing to creating a safe and secure environment
- Working overnight in either a sleepover or stand-up model to ensure the continuance of support outside of normal hours of service operation
- Working through a trauma informed lens, understanding that clients may face multiple challenges such as AOD, mental health, trauma, disability as well as homelessness
- Displaying strong risk awareness and working within strict safety management plans to appropriately manage serious behaviours of concern
- Liaising and working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders and services
The Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, or similar (essential)
- Minimum 12 months paid sector experience (essential)
- Current clear Police Check completed within the last 12 months (essential)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check AND Victorian Employee Working With Children Check (essential)
- Victorian Drivers Licence (essential)
