The Opportunity
We are excited to share that we have opportunities for Casual and Part-time Home and Community Support Workers to work in Northern Tasmania
The Community Support Worker provides in-home support services to aged care consumers, actively promoting their independence and community participation.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered to care recipients
- Assisting in the implementation of support described in support plans
- Undertaking support tasks in accordance with the clients individual support plan
- Ensure work practices are continually improved and comply with the Aged care Standards
- Maintain good relationships with the care recipient and families
- Reporting and documenting all issues/concerns/matters in accordance with internal policies and procedures
- Take into account an individual's cultural and religious preference when interacting and assisting in support activities.
What you’ll need:
- Certificate 3 level, and/or other relevant courses
- Sound knowledge of the current Aged Care legislative requirements and accreditation processes
- Ability to travel
- Maintaining a safe working environment and adoption of safe working practices
- Satisfactory national police check within the last three month (or able to get one)
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement (or able to get one)
- Satisfactory evidence of working rights in Australia
