We are looking for a proactive and energetic individual to work in Sunnyfield's Community Hub team in Cessnock.
About the Role:
As a Support Worker in our Cessnock hub, you will play an essential role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing. Working in both a team environment and independently, you will play an integral part in assisting our clients to engage in our after-school program, as well as at times helping within our day programs.
Key focus:
- Provide support to our clients with diverse learning needs
- Support the development of differentiated learning activities
- Work to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies
- Develop positive relationships with our clients and families
- Maintenance of progress notes and record-keeping
- Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of a range of person-centred programs
About you:
- If you are a retired Teacher and/or a current Teacher looking to get into the disability sector and/or a SLSO who has helped students with disabilities, we would love to hear from you!
- Flexibility to work Monday - Friday
- High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect
- Ability to prompt and encourage our clients with personal and hygiene care
